Using contact adhesive right

• Coat both faces, then wait for it to go touch-dry before you join them — bond too early and it never reaches full strength.
• Line the parts up first. Once they touch, they're stuck; there's no sliding them into place.
• A slip-sheet (a bit of paper between the surfaces, pulled out as you press) lets you position big panels before contact.
• Work in a ventilated space — it's solvent-based.
