Collection: Sealants & Silicones

Sealants & silicones — the right cartridge for every seal, bond and gap

About this range

The wrong sealant fails fast: silicone where caulk should be, caulk in a wet room, a rigid filler on a joint that moves. This collection covers the cartridges that actually do each job — pure silicones, hybrid sealant-adhesives, decorator's caulk, sanitary silicone and fire-rated sealant, in standard cartridges that fit a normal sealant gun.

What's in this collection

  • Hybrid sealant-adhesives (Soudal Fix All, Bondit Gripbond, Everbuild Stixall, Geocel Quickgrip) — MS-polymer products that bond and seal in one, indoors or out, wet or dry.
  • General-purpose silicone (Bondit GP200) — a flexible, waterproof seal for frames, glazing and general gaps.
  • Sanitary silicone (Bondit S3) — mould-resistant, for baths, basins, showers and kitchens.
  • Decorator's caulk (Soudal Acryrub and others) — paintable filler for skirting, architrave and gap lines.
  • Intumescent fire sealant (Everbuild Firemate) — for fire-rated joints and service penetrations.

Silicone, caulk or hybrid?

  • Silicone flexes and stays waterproof but won't take paint — use it round wet areas, glazing and frames.
  • Decorator's caulk takes paint and fills the gap along skirting and architrave — but it's not for wet areas or movement joints.
  • Hybrid (MS polymer) both bonds and seals, grabs on damp surfaces and over-paints — the go-to when one tube has to do everything.
  • For anything fire-rated, only an intumescent sealant is right. A standard silicone isn't.
