Builders Hardware Direct is not an anonymous marketplace or a drop-shipper. We are a builders' merchant that has been trading for over ten years, based in Gorslas in South Wales. We started behind a trade counter, serving builders, roofers, plasterers, joiners and window fitters who came in for what they needed and expected it to be right. We still do exactly that. The difference is that we now stock and sell the same range online, to trade and serious DIY across the whole of the UK.
That matters more than it sounds. When you buy from BHD you are buying from people who handle these products every day, buy them in by the pallet, and get asked about them across the counter constantly. We know which sealant grabs, which screw splits soft timber, and which foam gun is worth the money, because we sell them to people who come back and tell us. That is real trade experience, and it is the one thing a faceless online listing cannot give you.
