8mm is the everyday leg length: enough bite to hold a single layer of felt, underlay or breather membrane onto boards or battens, without punching straight through thin sheet. Galvanised, so it won't rust out on a roof or anywhere it meets damp. Fits the A11 hammer tacker and other Type 140 (140-series) tackers and staple guns.
