Product description
Principal black damp proof membrane, 4m x 12.5m – 500mu (2000 gauge). A heavy-gauge DPM that stops ground moisture rising into a floor slab.
Laid under a slab, over the oversite, this membrane blocks moisture wicking up into the concrete and the floor finish above. At 500 micron / 2000 gauge it's the heavier sheet – a tougher membrane for rougher hardcore or where a higher-grade DPM is specified. BBA accredited and compliant with the minimum standard for damp proof membranes under UK Building Regulations.

Lay it on a blinded, level surface so a sharp stone can't puncture it, lap sheets generously and tape the joints, and turn it up the walls to lap onto the DPC. For standard domestic floors, the 1200-gauge DPM is the usual choice. Tape joints with our aluminium foil tape.
