ForgeMaster masonry drill bit, 4.0 x 85mm. A tungsten carbide-tipped bit for drilling stone, brick, concrete and most masonry.
The 4.0mm diameter drills the pilot hole for a red (6–10 gauge) wall plug and light masonry fixings, and the 85mm length keeps it stiff for accurate shallow holes. The specially ground tungsten carbide tip is heat-treated to last, and the hexagon shank grips in the chuck without slipping, so it drills faster and doesn't spin. Sand-blast finish for durability.

Match the hole to the plug – a snug 4mm hole grips a red plug; too big and it spins. Use hammer/percussion mode on brick and concrete, and clear the dust before you plug. For deeper holes, the 4.0 x 150mm reaches further.
