Cotton twill is the hard-wearing dust sheet: it drapes and stays put, soaks up dust and splashes, and shrugs off the wear from tools, step-ladder feet and foot traffic that would tear a thin sheet. Reusable and washable, so it pays for itself over a disposable cover.

Great for dry, dusty work and light splashes. If there's a real spill risk – heavy painting or anything wet – use the laminated (poly-backed) sheet so nothing soaks through to the floor. Shake it out and wash it between jobs. For stairs, use the shaped staircase sheet.
