Broadfix plastic shims, 1–10mm – box of 250. Colour-coded plastic shims for levelling, packing and spacing that won't rot or shrink.
Shims do the fine packing work – levelling and spacing frames, units and fixings – with colour-coding so you can grab the right thickness at a glance. Made from recycled plastic, they're 100% waterproof and won't shrink, swell or rot like timber offcuts, and they take high compression so they hold under load. A mixed box of 1mm to 10mm covers every gap.

Stack shims to build up to an exact gap, and pack close to the fixing point so the load bears on the shim, not fresh air. Waterproof, so they're fine for external and damp spots where timber packers would fail. See also our flat packers for frame work.
