Limitations
- Always use mechanical fixings for overhead applications and large mirrors (>0.5m²)
- Provide temporary support for heavy items during cure time
- Do not seal mirror edges or plastic sheeting until fully cured
- Not suitable for glazing systems, aquarium use, bitumen, or asphalt
- Some yellowing may occur in low-light conditions (does not affect performance)
- Not certified for external use in glazing or structural systems
Application Instructions
Substrate Preparation
Surfaces must be clean and dust-free. Damp surfaces are acceptable, but remove standing water. Light abrasion is recommended for plastics to improve adhesion. Suitable for emergency underwater applications.
Adhesive Application
- Cartridge Use: Cut tip, fit nozzle, and apply with standard sealant gun.
- Heavy Items: Apply adhesive around edge and across back in 300mm intervals. Provide temporary support.
- Light Items: Apply in one or two continuous beads and press firmly into place.
Sealant Use
- Reduce joint depth with expanding foam or backer rod if needed
- Mask edges for a clean line and remove tape immediately after tooling
- Tool the sealant within 5 minutes for optimal adhesion and finish
Fixing Mirrors
- Apply 6mm beads vertically, spaced at 30–40mm centres
- Press mirror into place and support with tape for 24–48 hours
- Optional edge sealing can be done after full cure
Cleaning
Wipe uncured adhesive with white spirit or Everbuild Wonder Wipes. Remove cured residue mechanically.
