Penny (repair) washers, zinc-plated, M6 – box of 600. Wide-diameter washers that spread the load of a bolt or screw head over a much bigger area than a standard washer.
That extra width is the job: through timber, sheet metal, plasterboard or any soft or thin material, a normal washer can pull straight through under load. A penny washer's large outside diameter stops that – it clamps over a bigger footprint so the fixing holds and doesn't crush or tear the material.

- Finish: bright zinc plated (BZP) – for interior and dry use

Fit one under the head and one under the nut when you're bolting through timber or fixing sheet material, and pair with the matching M6 nut and bolt. For anything outdoors or damp, step up to a stainless or galvanised washer instead – zinc plating is for dry, interior work.
