About this range

A render or plaster job lives or dies on its edges: a straight arris at a corner, a clean stop where it ends, room to move across a big elevation, and a proper seal at a window. Different beads do each of those jobs, and the material has to match where it's going: internal, external or fully exposed. This collection brings the full bead range together, PVC, galvanised steel and stainless, in one place.

What's in this collection

  • Angle (corner) beads. Form and protect a straight arris on external corners.
  • Stop beads. Give render a clean, straight edge where it finishes, at reveals and terminations.
  • Bellcast (drip) beads. Throw water clear at the base of render so it doesn't track back into the wall.
  • Expansion beads. Build a movement joint into a large render area so it doesn't crack.
  • Window/frameseal (APU) beads. Seal render neatly to a window or door frame.

Sizes run from thin-coat 4 to 6mm through to 10 to 20mm render depths, in PVC, galvanised and stainless steel.

Which material for which job?

  • Galvanised steel. For internal plaster and thin-coat, where a hard, true edge matters and it stays dry.
  • PVC. Rustproof, the safe all-rounder for external render; no bleed-through, no corrosion.
  • Stainless steel. For exposed and coastal external render, where even a galvanised bead would corrode before the render fails.
