Product description

John George drywall screws, coarse thread (loose) – for plasterboard onto timber. Bugle-head drywall screws with a sharp point and a coarse thread, sold loose.

Coarse thread is the one for timber: it bites into a timber stud or batten and pulls the board in tight. The bugle head sinks just below the paper without tearing it, and the sharp point starts fast so the board doesn't spin as you drive. Black phosphate finish for interior, dry work.

  • Thread: coarse (for timber studs and battens)
  • Head: bugle, recessed
  • Point: sharp start
  • Finish: black phosphate (interior/dry)
  • Supply: loose (not collated)

Drive the head just below the surface – snug, not so deep it breaks the paper, or the screw loses its hold. Fixing to metal studs instead? Use the fine-thread version. For an auto-feed gun, choose our collated drywall screws.
